After more than 7 years in Central America designing customized and sustainable trips, I decided to take on a new challenge: to help people discover a different side of the Dominican Republic—one that’s more authentic and more human. Through Terra Dominicana, I want to create trips that truly connect travelers with the local people, because the island of Hispaniola isn’t just a place to visit… it’s an experience to be lived. Your favorite spot in the Dominican Republic I absolutely love the wild beaches and coves of theSamaná Peninsula, like Playa Frontón. But if I had to choose just one, it would be Bahía de las Águilas. It’s a region that’s still untouched, with no resort complexes, and home to some of the most beautiful (and deserted!) beaches in the world. Bonus: glamping right by the sea—a truly unique experience! Any anecdotes? In Las Terrenas, I met a vendor who was as surprising as he was unforgettable: a cobbler by day, a mamajuana maker the rest of the time. Two trades that seemed completely unrelated, yet brought together in the same little shop. Originally from Costa Rica, I consider myself a lover of nature, adventure, and, of course, local cuisine. I’m known for my consistently cheerful attitude, which I love to share with everyone I meet. I’m passionate about art, culture, and authentic experiences—and believe me, you’ll find all of that in every corner of the Dominican Republic. My favorite place? Cabrera, an authentic corner of the north coast where you’ll find beautiful beaches, lagoons, caves, and waterfalls, surrounded by mountains, with delicious local cuisine, and where I’ve really connected with some super-friendly locals. A fun fact?
