Pick up your 4×4 rental vehicle to begin your journey through the country! Depart for the Samaná Peninsula.

On the way, stop at Salto de Socoa, a waterfall nestled in the tropical vegetation where you can enjoy your first refreshing swim.

The route continues to Las Terrenas, a lively coastal village on the peninsula. We’ll share several great spots for lunch.

Continue on to El Valle, a small village surrounded by hills covered in tropical forest. Check into your intimate ecolodge.

Today, we set out to explore Los Haitises National Park, one of the richest ecosystems in the Dominican Republic.

The tour takes place by boat through the mangroves and rock formations covered in tropical vegetation. The region is home to numerous bird species and serves as a true sanctuary of biodiversity.

During the excursion, you’ll also explore several caves adorned with Taíno petroglyphs—artifacts left behind by the island’s first inhabitants.

Return to El Valle in the afternoon.

Today, a short drive to Las Galeras, a village located at the tip of the Samaná Peninsula. This region retains a peaceful atmosphere with small beaches lined with coconut palms.

Today, we’ll set out by boat with a local guide to explore some of the most beautiful beaches on the Samaná Peninsula.

First stop at Playa Frontón, a secluded beach accessible only by sea. Protected by a coral reef and overlooked by a large cliff, it offers a remarkable natural setting.

We’ll then sail to Playa Madama, a small cove surrounded by cliffs and tropical vegetation.

The day continues at Playa Rincón, a long beach lined with coconut palms and known for the beauty of its landscape. Enjoy free time for swimming and the option to have lunch overlooking the sea.

Today, you’ll leave the Samaná Peninsula to head to the northern coast of the Dominican Republic, a region known for its cliffs, natural coves, and unspoiled landscapes.

The road runs along the ocean and passes through several coastal villages before arriving in the Río San Juan and Cabrera area.

Today, we’ll explore Laguna Dudú, a natural site known for its two freshwater lagoons surrounded by tropical vegetation. It’s the perfect place to go for a swim or try the zip line.

You’ll continue further north to explore the idyllic spots of Rio San Juan, notably the famous Laguna Gri-Gri with its mangroves and access to hidden coves, a natural pool, and a cave. You’ll be accompanied by a guide who will help you understand the region’s history and its legendary figures.

In the afternoon, we recommend exploring Playa Diamante, a secluded beach in the Cabrera region. This spot offers unspoiled natural scenery and turquoise waters.

At the end of the day, enjoy the sunset on the north coast.

You’ll head back toward the north coast to reach Puerto Plata, a historic city overlooking the sea.

Today, we set out for Punta Rucia, an unspoiled coastal region in the northwest of the country. This stretch of coastline remains off the beaten path and features long, white-sand beaches lapped by crystal-clear waters.

Today, you’ll leave the coast behind and head to Jarabacoa, a mountainous region located in the heart of the Central Mountain Range. This lush valley is known for its rivers, waterfalls, and cooler climate.

The rest of the day is free to enjoy the region’s tranquility. Return your rental car.

Overnight in Jarabacoa at a charming mountain chalet-style hotel

Today is the big day. You’re setting out to conquer Pico Duarte, the highest peak in the Antilles at 3,087 meters.

Accompanied by your local guide and a small group, you’ll head to the expedition’s starting point in the village of La Ciénaga, located in the Central Mountain Range.

The evening is a chance to prepare for the adventure that begins the next day. You’ll enjoy a comfortable glamping camp, with a dinner featuring local flavors and a night surrounded by nature.

After breakfast, we begin theascent to La Compartición, a mountain hut located halfway up the mountain. The hike takes us through tropical forests, valleys, and high-altitude landscapes.

You’ll hike at your own pace, accompanied by experienced guides. Upon arrival, you’ll settle into a comfortable campsite with mattresses, a full meal, and glamping equipment.

An early morning departure to reach the summit of Pico Duarte at 3,087 meters, the highest point in the Caribbean.

Once at the summit, you’ll enjoy a panoramic view of the Cordillera Central. After this highlight of the expedition, we’ll head back to La Compartición camp for one last night in the mountains.

The last day of hiking, with the descent to La Ciénaga, the starting point of the ascent. After several days in the mountains, you’ll return to the valley and head to Jarabacoa for a restful night’s sleep.
