You’ll explore the colonial district, its iconic monuments, and its history, while also discovering a more contemporary scene featuring street art in the eastern neighborhoods.

The day continues with a taste of local cuisine.

In the evening, enjoy an introduction to Dominican dance to fully immerse yourself in the country’s culture.

You’ll head out toward Higüey.

Along the way, stop at Altos de Chavón, a Mediterranean-inspired village dedicated to the arts, perched above the Chavón River. You’ll explore the 5,000-seat amphitheater, St. Stanislaus Church, the regional archaeological museum, as well as art galleries and artisan workshops.

You’ll then continue on to Higüey.

Upon arrival, you’ll check into a family-run Victorian-style house from the 1940s, where you’ll take part in your first painting workshop led by your Dominican hosts.

This morning, take an electric bike ride through the countryside. You’ll explore the sugarcane plantations and witness scenes of local life.

Relax at the house: read, swim, or take a leisurely stroll.

In the afternoon, it’s time for some culinary exploration with a Dominican cooking class, where you’ll learn to prepare traditional, 100% Dominican recipes.

Today, you’ll head to Santiago de los Caballeros, the country’s second-largest city, located in the heart of the fertile Cibao Valley.

Upon arrival, you’ll discover a vibrant city deeply rooted in Dominican traditions.

At the end of the day, head up to the Monumento a los Héroes de la Restauración, which offers a panoramic view of the city.

Depending on the time of year, you may have the chance to attend a baseball game—a true institution in the Dominican Republic. (October through January)

This morning, visit the La Aurora cigar factory—a national icon—to learn about the various stages of production, from the leaf to the finished product.

You’ll continue with a tour of the Centro León, a major cultural center dedicated to Dominican art and history.

In the afternoon, take a leisurely stroll through downtown, stopping by the local market and Calle del Sol to soak up the atmosphere and explore the local crafts.

Before leaving Santiago, take some time to stroll through the Jardines del Gran Teatro del Cibao.

You’ll then head to Montecristi, a wilder and still relatively unvisited region in the northwest.

Upon arrival, explore the village and its history, then hike through El Morro National Park, an iconic rock formation bordering the sea.

At the end of the day, enjoy the sunset in this unique natural setting.

Today, you’ll set out on an excursion to the Cayo Siete Hermanos, a group of islets off the coast of Montecristi.

Accessible by boat, this unspoiled area offers unique seascapes. You’ll sail between the islets, stopping along the way to enjoy the sea, observe wildlife, and swim in the crystal-clear waters.

A timeless experience, combining nature and relaxation.

Return to Montecristi at the end of the day.

You’ll head toward the north coast, stopping in Puerto Plata.

You’ll explore the city on a city tour, taking in its historical heritage and local atmosphere. Streets lined with colorful Victorian houses, a bustling central market, followed by a visit to the Amber Museum.

The tour continues with Fort San Felipe and the lighthouse, which bear witness to the city’s colonial history.

Lunch on site, then continue on to Cabarete.

You’ll explore the village at your own pace, taking in art galleries, small shops, and the waterfront, all in a lively atmosphere.

In the evening, the spotlight turns to the music scene, with a jazz vibe that regularly brings Cabarete to life (festival in June, depending on the time of year).

You’ll head out toward the Samaná Peninsula.

Along the way, stop in Cabrera for a memorable experience: a visit to a dedicated local initiative led by women.

You’ll share a traditional Dominican lunch in a community setting, followed by a creative workshop using higüero— a local natural material—to make a 100% handmade lamp.

You’ll then continue on to Las Terrenas, where you’ll arrive at the end of the day in time to watch the sunset on the beach.

Today, you’ll set out to explore Los Haitises National Park, one of the country’s most iconic natural sites.

You’ll embark on a boat tour through the mangroves and rocky islets. Several stops along the way will let you explore caves adorned with Taíno petroglyphs, which bear witness to the island’s ancient history.

Return to Las Terrenas in the afternoon.

In the evening, enjoy an introduction to Dominican dance (salsa, merengue, and bachata) with locals for a wonderful Latin-themed evening!

This morning, you’ll take part in a visual arts workshop in French, led by a local instructor.

Using Dominican materials such as banana tree trunks, coconuts, and other natural elements, you’ll create a colorful piece inspired by the Caribbean. A creative and accessible experience, perfect for taking home a unique souvenir.

The rest of the day is free to enjoy Las Terrenas, with its beaches, lively streets, and cafés.
